Body Art and Body Piercing Program
The Inspection Services Department is responsible for inspecting all body art and body piercing facilities excluding those that offer ear piercing only. Each facility must obtain a Body Art Permit through the Health Department every year. The operator of the facility must apply for an Operator's Permit every two years. Inspections are not based on a grading scale, but on compliance and non-compliance standards. Items found in non-compliance must be corrected immediately. Please contact our office for more information concerning the Body Art and Body Piercing Program.
