COVID-19 Response Team adds more outreach events
MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile County Health Department’s (MCHD) COVID-19 Response Team is announcing additional opportunities to get your vaccine shots. As with all MCHD COVID-19 events, these will follow a first-come, first-served format. No appointments will be taken.
On Saturday, February 12, MCHD will provide vaccine at Mobile County Training School (800 Whitley Street in Mobile) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. MCHD will offer either Pfizer (adult or pediatric) or Moderna vaccine. This will take place in collaboration with the Spring of Our Ancestors Festival hosted by The Clotilda Descendants Association.
On Thursday, February 24, MCHD will provide vaccine at New Hope Outreach Ministry (1007 Spring Hill Avenue in Mobile) from 10 a.m. to noon. MCHD will offer either Pfizer (adult), Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

On Wednesday, February 9, MCHD will provide vaccine at Saint John’s Episcopal Church (1707 Government Street in Mobile) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. MCHD will offer either Pfizer (adult or pediatric) or Moderna vaccine.
On Thursday, February 17, MCHD will provide vaccine at VIA! Health, Fitness and Enrichment Center (1717 Dauphin Street in Mobile) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. MCHD will offer either Pfizer (adult or pediatric) or Moderna vaccine.
On Saturday, February 19, MCHD will provide vaccine at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church (545 Cody Road in Mobile) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. MCHD will offer either the Pfizer (adult or pediatric) vaccine.
On Wednesday, February 23, MCHD will provide vaccine at Pine Grove Baptist Church (19130 Pine Grove Road in Mount Vernon) from 3 to 5 p.m. MCHD will offer the Pfizer (adult or pediatric) vaccine.
Getting vaccine Monday through Saturday
COVID-19 vaccine is also available at the Festival Centre in Suite 101-A. Clients may select from either the Pfizer (adult or pediatric), Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The Festival Centre clinic is located at the corner of Airport Boulevard and Montlimar Avenue in West Mobile. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
MCHD’s Public Health Response Unit is currently providing vaccine each Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Semmes Health Center (3810 Wulff Road East). Clients may select from either the Pfizer (adult or pediatric), Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson vaccines.
Those wishing to get COVID-19 vaccine on Saturdays will be able to get their shots inside the Keeler Memorial Building at 251 North Bayou Street in Downtown Mobile. The vaccines will be available from 8 a.m. to noon.
Homebound residents
MCHD is once again offering vaccine to homebound individuals. Interested individuals can sign up for this service on the www.MCHDcares.com website. On the top line is a tab titled “Request at Home Vaccination.”
Once the form is completed, it will be sent to our COVID-19 Response Team for scheduling. MCHD staff will provide the Moderna vaccine on Wednesdays and Fridays.
This service is also available to family members living with the homebound individual and/or their caregivers.
