Education: Dr. Evans earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Herbert H. Lehman College, City University of New York. After completing pre-graduate work at Harvard University School of Medicine, Dr. Evans began study at the prestigious Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, while taking classes at Columbia University School of Medicine simultaneously. Dr. Evans served his medical internship and his residency in Internal Medicine at SUNY’s Health Science Center in Brooklyn, New York, previous to joining the Mobile County Health Department in 1988.
Interesting facts: During his 33-year career with the Mobile County Health Department, Dr. Evans has held key positions on the Clinical Review Committee and the Performance Improvement Leadership Committee, while devoting additional time as an emergency room physician to hospitals across Alabama, including Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.
