Professional Summary: Dr. Duensing is a Pediatric Rheumatologist with the Pediatrics Clinic at Family Health. In addition to her experience providing pediatric primary care, she has years of experience treating children and teens with a wide range of autoimmune and autoinflammatory disorders like Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Childhood Lupus and Juvenile Dermatomyositis.
Education: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, College of Medicine. Residency in Pediatrics- University of South Florida/Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Fellowship in Pediatric Rheumatology- University of Alabama at Birmingham/Children’s of Alabama.
Additional information: Dr. Duensing is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, American Academy of Pediatrics, the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatism Research Foundation, and the Arthritis Foundation. After developing rheumatoid arthritis herself during medical school, Dr. Duensing chose to become a Pediatric Rheumatologist in order to care for children and teenagers with rheumatologic diseases. When she isn’t caring for patients, Dr. Duensing enjoys spending time with husband Adam, their 4 children- Garrett, Emersyn, George and Blake, 2 grandchildren- Harris and Teddy, and miniature Sheepadoodle- Ella Drake.
