Vaccines & Immunizations

The Mobile County Health Department (MCHD) does not provide routine immunizations to the public. Those persons requiring immunizations are asked to contact their primary care provider or local pharmacy on the availability of immunizations.

Many pharmacies carry or can easily order immunizations, to include rabies post-exposure immunizations following initial treatment at emergency room.

Patients with Family Health — MCHD’s primary care division — are requested to call Central Appointments at 251-690-8889 for scheduling with their primary care provider to discuss age-appropriate immunizations. To learn more, Family Health patients can click here.

Select travel immunizations may be available. Please call Central Appointments and schedule a travel medicine appointment. The patient will be expected to pay for all services related to this appointment. There are no free or discounted travel vaccines.
